Here's to life, here's to love, here's to you....
The third track on my album, Yesterday Once More, is an original medley arranged from three classic, beautiful songs.
When I sing “Here’s to Life Medley: Here’s to Life/A Lot of Livin’ to Do/Sweet Happy Life,” my smile comes instantly! These three songs embody so much of what life really is about – keeping a positive spirit, through thick and thin! “I had learned that all you give is all you get, so give it all you got…” It’s a great motto to live by, don’t you think?
Whether young or old, the song “A Lot of Livin’ to Do” resonates with everyone! This fun tune is spunky, sassy, and fun – a real crowd pleaser. It’s all too true, of course, that there’s so much to see in this world and so many places to go! Don’t waste any time – “Got to move, ‘cause time is a wastin’…”
Lastly, Peggy Lee’s lovely song, “Sweet Happy Life” is as smooth as a velvet. Like water ripples over the stones in a brook, this song flows effortlessly! The lyrics are filled with a kind sentiment, too – which I just love. “My wish for you, sweet happy life, may all your sorrows be gone and your heart begin to sing…”
